Emara Ole Sereni

Perched on the edge of Nairobi National Park, Emara Ole-Sereni is a sleek, contemporary five-star hotel that blends city convenience with an unmistakable safari-country outlook. Just a short drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and Wilson Airport, it's the ideal bookend for a Kenyan safari, whether you're arriving late, departing early, or simply want one last taste of the wild before heading home. The hotel's 148 rooms and suites are finished in a crisp, contemporary style, with floor-to-ceiling windows, smart TVs, minibars, and rain-shower bathrooms throughout. Many rooms, especially the higher categories and suites, open onto sweeping views of the national park's plains, so guests can watch for wildlife without leaving their room.

Dining is a highlight: the Acacia Restaurant serves an all-day buffet, Karibu Café is the spot for coffee and pastries, and the Oasis Lounge Bar keeps a late-night snack menu going. The real showstopper is the rooftop Sky Lounge, where panoramic park views pair with cocktails and sharing plates — a favourite for sundowners. Guests also get full complimentary access to the wellness facilities at the neighbouring sister property, Ole-Sereni, including a spa, fully equipped gym, and padel courts , great for unwinding between game drives. A rooftop infinity pool, business centre, and 24-hour room service round out the amenities.

Best for: travellers wanting a stylish, well-located base in Nairobi, whether as a safari stopover, a short city break, or a business stay with a view.
