4-Day Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara Safari

The safari begins in Nairobi, with the journey heading towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes guests through Kenya's Great Rift Valley landscape before arriving at the park for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is known for its varied wildlife and birdlife, giving guests their first opportunity to experience Kenya's wildlife in a national park setting. On arrival in Lk.Nakuru, guests check in the Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for lunch and later engage in an afternoon game-drive. The night is spent at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, with meals provided during the stay. On the second day, the journey continues from Lake Nakuru to the Maasai Mara National Reserve and guests can engage in an en-route game drive. Guests may encounter the spectacular Flamingoes in Lake Nakuru. After travelling through the countryside and arriving in the Mara, guests check in at Maasai Mara Sopa Lodge. The following safari experience takes place across the Mara's open grasslands, where guests may encounter a variety of wildlife depending on animal movements, season and local conditions.

Day three is dedicated to exploring the Maasai Mara. Guests head out on a full day game drive with more time to experience the reserve and search for wildlife. The itinerary includes a picnic lunch at a designated picnic spot where guests may have the opportunity to relax. The final morning after breakfast, guests then begin the journey back to Nairobi, and can visit the Maasai cultural village (optional). A stopover for a snack (self-sponsored) along the way. The safari concludes in Nairobi after four days of travelling through two distinct wildlife areas. The trip combines lodge accommodation, guided game drives and road travel, making it suitable for travellers who want to experience both Lake Nakuru and the Maasai Mara within a relatively short safari.
