Depart from Nairobi at 7.00 am to Maasai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5 hours). Drive through the Great Rift valley with a 15-minutes stop over at the view point for photo moments at the escarpment. Arrive in time for lunch at the camp/lodge, relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Later return for dinner and overnight.
We’ll be up early to view the park’s abundant wildlife, said to the densest of any park in the region. This will be a day of unlimited game drives over the golden fields and past the distinctive acacia trees adorning these plains. Be on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. Come back to the camp at late afternoon for dinner and overnight.
Our last safari day – let’s make the most of it with an early rise and game drive. By now you should be checking off your list of animal sightings but there’s always time for more. You’re sure to have seen zebras and gazelle but keep an eye out for cheetah moving through the bush, plus jackal and hyena. We’ll enjoy one last game drive as we exit the park on our way back to Nairobi.
